Project management
For projects that are outside the normal editorial workload, having someone else manage and develop the project can save you money and ensure staff are free to concentrate on the main publications.
I have edited several titles as a freelance, including iSight, XML & Web Services and Cambridge Film Festival Daily, writing copy, subbing, planning content and managing other contractors when necessary.
