I've noticed that on America's Next Top Model, Tyra Banks has an odd habit of saying, when she has the two photographs of the losing/winning models, that "You have a 50-50 chance of getting through".

Really, Tyra? Isn't this supposed to be a contest of skill, in which the best model gets through? Isn't it actually the case that you know who's getting through or at least know which model is better, and therefore the chance is actually 100% of one model getting through and 0% of the other getting through, since there's no chance element in the decision.

Or are you suggesting the judges just toss a coin to see who wins?

Yes, I know this is probably not the point.

Tell me you didn't think this was a great new US crime drama series when you first saw it.

Liked Iron Man. Liked it a lot. But I wasn't prepared to sit through a day's worth of credits at the end.

So I missed this. It's brief but it's interesting for its Very Famous Person cameo and what it means for future movies.

So my wife's getting into Chuck on Virgin 1. It's also available on iTunes. However, neither is entirely satisfactory.

Virgin 1: 4:3, not widescreen; edits for violence; ad breaks
iTunes: fuzzier picture; £1.89 an episode

So should we go with iTunes for widescreen, all the content and greater convenience or Virgin 1, with a better picture and lower price?

It's odd, I warn you. It's Phil and Grant Mitchell from EastEnders dancing (and stripping) to "Kung Fu fighting". At least they can have a laugh, hey?

You know, if Joanna Page is going to appear in Love Soup, as she did on Saturday, they really should tell people before it's on.
