"Lenny Henry to play Othello"
Er, I don't get it - is this just an advert for Jim Jeffries? Oh well.

I'll never understand why people bother with so-called "reality" shows. At the very least, 'Dancins With the Stars' should be the show they record to watch later and then just fast forward to the interesting stuff. I gotta figure a show like that must have a lot of filler between the dances.
Probably infested with product placements as well!

[it's not in the Sun so it can't be true] Oh my god. What a peculiar thing to happen! Things I've never thought while watching Lenny Henry - "he should do Shakespeare" (also "he's funny"). Thanks for the info Rob.

Remaking The Partridge Family? Yup, that's what this old world needs...
Actually, I love how dismissive the new writer is of the original concept: "In the original, the kids actually recruited their mom to front the band, which I can't see happening in any family on this planet." The Partridge Family was based on the real-life bubble-gum pop group The Cowsills and their mum was recruited, albeit not by her kids, to sing along (I don't ever remember her fronting the band) just before they became famous for "The Rain, The Park and Other Things" and a cover of "Hair".

The Mystery Jets were three young guys and one of their dads on bass, although I don't think he plays live with them anymore.
