Women: want to eat dead camel dung on TV and then explain its nutritional benefits? Then do I have the job for you.
North One Television (www.northonetv.com) are pitching documentaries to terrestrial broadcasters and need a female explorer / adventurer.
We are looking for feisty females with expertise on survival, travel and adventure.
You need to speak with authority on surviving in the wild and be equally comfortable in the Amazon jungle as well as the Arctic Circle.
You would not think twice about eating locusts or dung from a dead camel to survive and also know the nutritional benefits of this.
We will be casting in the next few weeks.
If you think you have what it takes, please email Federico Ruiz
Please include as much information as possible in your email: experience, website links, articles, pictures etc.
Deadline: 15th Oct, 18:00
I'm guessing the 'pictures' request means that either they want proof you've been further afield than Benidorm or that you've got to be cute. Or both.

Terrestrial broadcasters??? As opposed to intergalactic broadcasters? We need a new "quick quote": "Rob, give us the benefit of your television insider knowledge..."
I've been as far north as Fort St John, British Columbia. But I'm not nearly cute enough.

"Terrestrial" in the UK usually means one of the channels that can be received via a standard aerial and analogue receiver (ie BBC1, BBC2, ITV1, Channel 4/S4C and Five), although some weirdos also use it for the channels available through a standard aerial and a digital Freeview decoder (eg BBC3, BBC4, ITV2, ITV3, ITV4, Virgin 1, Dave) as well.
That covers most of the population, but there's a significant number who also get cable TV (typically Virgin Media but there are other cable suppliers) and satellite TV aka BSkyB or Sky. Cable TV has a number of channels not available to analogue or Freeview (eg Living, Bravo) as does Sky (eg FX, Discovery Animal Planet) although cable and Sky do have some of these in common. There's an ongoing court case between Virgin and Sky about Sky One which Virgin would like to carry but can't because it says the fees are too high.
