Doh. Well I would NEVER have guessed that about RS. Does RTD think Dr Who fans are incredibly stupid or something????

Bill Bailey to leave Never Mind the Buzzcocks.
WHAT? NO!!!
That's annoying me far more than it should. I love Phill Jupitus, but...Bill! Don't leave!

Yes. It was one of my original complaints about Silence in the Library that they worked themselves up into knots trying to mention it every three seconds but without actually saying it. We got the point, thanks SM/RTD.
As for Bill Bailey, he replaced Sean Hughes anyway – a marked improvement – so maybe they'll do even better with the next 'regeneration'.

The obvious replacement for Bill is surely Preston .

I rather hope David Morrisey isn't actually the next Doctor. Nothing against the chap but it sort of takes the fun out of all the next Doctor speculation. I can live with alternate Doctor from another dimension or potential new Doctor though, that's cool with me. I've always thought a nice Doctor Who plot would be the current Doctor working with a future Doctor to avoid catastrophic events that were initially triggered by a forced regeneration. So you have the "next Doctor" juggling his existence against saving say, the human race (because that old chesnut isn't tired yet).
Ultimately I can't wait for a post RTD Doctor Who. Frankly I feel the man has outlived his usefullness for the show and I'm pleased to see him go.
