    Forget Bad Wolf... Bad Freema!

At least she had something lined up, so it doesn't sound like career seppiku a la Shelley Long or Maclean Stevenson. If she's lucky, "L&O: UK" will have legs; more like the parent series and not like "Trial By Jury" or "Conviction".

RTD seems like he could be a very spiteful guy. I won't be surprised if they toss of a few lines (maybe even insert some unused footage) to come up with a death for Martha.

I think she made the right decision. Torchwood is rubbish, and Freema's had loads of criticism for her portrayal of Martha. If she really can act, she needs to get out of that role pronto and show what she can do.

As for keitel, that bodes well for them befing up Gene's character, so maybe they've actualy learnt from the pilot.

In the battle of loyalties - RTD v Chris Chibnall - it seems CC won out. I'm not surprised. She does need to branch out and her Torchwood scripts weren't exactly showcases for her. However, ITV? Oops. They'll kill it in minutes if it doesn't do well.

As for Harvey, it's like Miami Vice and Edward James Olmos: if you've got a hard lead, you need someone harder as the boss, and they don't come harder than ex-Marine Harvey Keitel. You can already fill in the back story for the new Gene - ex-military who fought in WWII/Korea who doesn't like the 'limp-wristed', hippy infested world of 1972. Could be very good. Let's see who they get as Annie, though.

"RTD seems like a spiteful guy"? Based on what? The Sun? Even in that rag, they're being careful, saying he is "believed to be annoyed". I wouldn't be surprised if he knew about this weeks ago.

Living over in America, I don't read the Sun. But even I know not to trust them for veracity. (If I need crap news, I'll stick with the American version, the NY Post.) But news stories have come over here about his attitude towards fans and that story about him lashing out at a wedding guest. Now, whether or not that all came from the Sun as a source, I don't know.

The Sun has the knack of occasionally getting stories exactly right, despite all appearances to the contrary. Having said that...

"Scriptwriters spent months writing gripping storylines for Freema"

Erm... this is Torchwood they're talking about. Shurely shome mishtake?
