Today's Sitting Tennant (from Rosby): The Unicorn and the Wasp

David Tennant in the Doctor Who episode The Unicorn and the Wasp

Today's Sitting Tennant is from Rosby again. It's from the Doctor Who episode The Unicorn and the Wasp.

Rosby, who now leads the field with four entries in the gallery, writes:

…it's obvious that he's thinking about what it would be like to star in a series adapted from a book about Greek Gods in contemporary settings...

It would mean a move to the US though, if you're thinking of the book I'm thinking of, Rosby, since Ben Stiller's production company is busy adapting it. I'm not sure everyone would be happy about his relocation…

Witty or amusing captions please everyone, or perhaps you'd like to suggest the Greek god Mr Tennant would be best suited to playing and what accent he would use?

Got a picture of David Tennant sitting, lying down or in some indeterminate state in between? Then leave a link to it below and if it's judged suitable, it will appear in the “Sitting Tennant” gallery in due course.

I think Hermes would be a decent fit for Tennant. He's got a bit of a Trickster aura about him. Not sure he can lead a herd of cattle backwards, but I think he'd look great in a pair of winged sneakers.

I actually wrote the book with DT in mind for Hermes, so good call, Toby OB. Having said that it's probably too small a role for the man to consider, but hey, I'd be happy to audition him all the same.

(I actually think he looks slightly as if he's just had a stroke in this picture, so I much prefer Rosby's interpretation!)

BTW and don't quote me on this, but just because a US company have bought it, doesn't mean they will necessarily make it in the US...

    Oh! Canada.

I blame Rob's obsession, but about halfway through GBB I suddenly started imagining Joanna Page as Alice. And I was channel hopping last night and landed on Hustle, and thought to myself - "Jaime Murray as Aphrodite...."

PS I think Marie's comment needs speech marks around the word "audition".

If you'd seen Jaime Murray in Dexter, you wouldn't have.

Leading the field? Is that a good thing, or is it a bit sad/odd?

Still, no matter. Sitting Tennant makes a refreshing change from OMGHAWTTENNANT, which is everywhere else. Even if it is true.

Think of Sitting Tennant is a 1960s style cafe where everyone's a Beatnik and wears black polo necks; the music is jazz - played by David Tennant.

Except when Rob steps in with his Spanish guitar....

My, Rosby HAS stolen a thunder on us! Still, neat call on all the pics gal - and good thinking on GBB! As an aside, how would Marie's ideal audition from DT for a role in GBB actually pan out..?
