Tell me you didn't think this was a great new US crime drama series when you first saw it.

My favourite Blunkett story is when he walked out of a play in Sheffield because he objected to the nudity in it. It begs some interesting questions...

How wonderful. Is that Patrick Harvie MSP on the left? And I'm assuming the bearded bloke isn't Steve Bell from the Guardian.

May I borrow the picture for a caption competition?

Of course you can borrow it. Let me know if you need it higher res.

That is indeed Patrick Harvie MSP there. Beardy bloke is John Burch, Deputy Director of Operations at the Confederation of Passenger Transport UK (CPT). They are all members of the FirstGroup's Yellow School Bus Commission.

My life really is exciting, honest.

That's the reality. Now, the "tele-version" would be adapted by David E. Kelley as an attempt to re-launch "Blind Justice" via a showcase spin-off from "Boston Legal".

From left to right, playing these roles would be: Joe Pantoliano, Allan Rachins (in a role that was first offered to Charles Nelson Reilly, then to Peter Boyle - the character is now referred to as 'the Scottish Player'), Ken Olin and his trusty sidekick Pantha, Abraham Benrubi, Megan Mullally, and William Shatner as Denny Crane to help kick off the series.

The title of this back-door pilot? "Boston Legally Blind Justice".

Now that sounds like a show worth watching!

  • Sky One's Empire was a bit poor, wasn't it?

  • Warship got a lot better and more focused as the series went on, so I'd recommend catching it on re-runs if you can since it's worth sticking with to the end.
