A life less ordinary

Posted on May 12, 2008 | 11 comments |

Just got this text from my sister

David Tennant and his onscreen 'daughter' from Dr Who are sat at the next table to me, snogging and I'm sat on the sofa next to Jason Donovan. It's the most wrong night ever…

Her life's just so much more exciting than mine.

And the award to most bizarre blog post from Rob goes to...

Where actually is your sister? If she's says "my front room watching TV" then I think she's winding you up!

I missed the bit where David Tennant snogged Georgia Moffett in The Doctor's Daughter. That would definitely be wrong. And why would my sister be watching Doctor Who with Jason Donovan? He's clearly more of a Harry Potter fan.

Besides, she lives the kind of life where genuinely, almost everyone she knows is famous for one reason or another (she's stopped dating Sean Hughes now and is going out with… someone else famousish who shall remain anonymous). And her current location is secret.

And seriously? This is my oddest blog post? I'm pretty sure there have been odder. Like 90% or so if you exclude the news ones.

haha, noooooo, I didn't think she was watching Who. I was referring to the comment about being sat on a sofa with Donovan. like: was she in her front room watching TV with Jase while Father and 'Daughter' got it on on the other side of the room...

It is a bizarre post. But in a good way.

Yeah, yeah. Blonde, buxom, petite, pretty, fifteen years his junior.... Men are so unoriginal....
Is your sister enjoying herself, or is she wishing she were at home?

Well, I would disagree but although my wife's only three years younger than me, I'm pretty unoriginal too so I don't have much of a leg to stand on... ;-)

My sister says it's all very amusing and clîchéd in the Secret Location (which will not be revealed, even though I do now know where it is - the man needs some privacy!) Apparently, he's been pacing the corridor saying "It's not what it looks like". So there you go. Move along people, nothing to see here. It's not what it looks like.

How old is little Miss Moffett?!

    She's 23, according to Wikipedia.

Indeed. And has a six year old kid, I think.

Incidentally, I'm not sure what happened next, since James Corden turned up. That probably changed the dynamic of everything.

Only three weeks later, I see it's hit the tabloids (namely The Mirror and the Telegraph).

That's The Medium is Not Enough: always first with the news. Except when it's not, which is most of the time.
