I loved the idea that it was the father's dying wish she not be told he was dying. Reminded Neil (my partner) of the Man City ex-boss whose apparant death-bed words were "the last thing I want is for City to go down"...
Which can definitely be read two ways.
Wonder if the dad's words were similarly interpreted?
