Doctor Who
- The Sun reckoned John Simm was in negotiations to appear in Doctor Who. The Sunday Times said yesterday that he's filming a kids' show (allegedly. Can't find it on the website though). Scottish Big Issue had him saying “'I've got one more thing in 2007, which was kind of unturndownable, and then I'll stay away from telly for a bit'.” And The Independent says he's definitely been cast. Yes, John Simm is… Maybe? [via TV Today]

That's as may be, but they miss off the crucial phrase 'with a beard'...
And re the bucket thing, has someone at BBC actually thought people like all that Gillian McKeith focus on our bodily functions?

Generally, if there are people pooing in buckets on tele, there's one of two reasons:
1) it's a programme about the mentally ill and the producers want to make some point or other about loss of dignity
2) the programme is French. Actually, I think Engrenages forsook the bucket altogether
And I couldn't be happier that 'Dr' Gillian has been told to stop using her 'Dr' from now on. Ha!

Am I imagining it, or are the only Joss Whedon alumni getting interesting roles the ones who were in Firefly? Tony Head apart, of course.
Just been watching Angel series 1 and thinking that I haven't seen many of the main cast in anything since.

It's certainly great to be up. Here I sit in my comfy chair, coffee in my hand, Venture Bros. episode playing...
Ah, it's a hard life but someone has to live it...

What exactly do you do, again?
Then again, here I am, on slightly comfy chair, coffee in hot pot, Primeval playing...

This is the Sunday Times article
The exact quote: "So, after The Yellow House is a children?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢s TV show: ?¢‚Ǩ?ìMy son will love it ?¢‚Ǩ‚Äù it?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢s for him.?¢‚Ǩ¬ù "

On the whole. SMG is busy doing crummy horror films. David B is "starring" in Bones. AH is in How I Met Your Mother. James Masters was in Smallville. Charisma Carpenter's done a lot of Veronica Mars.
But no really high profile stuff.

Cheers. I tried the Times' search engine. I tried Google. But they weren't having not none of it.

Rob, you do know your news roundup is pretty much the best thing ever, don't you?

You're most kind indeed! This really wasn't something I was aware of. I was beginning to suspect I was merely just a very lazy person who couldn't be bothered to write individual blog entries for each exciting story. That probably would have overloaded people though - at least that's what I like to tell myself.

It's just brilliant, I wanted to make sure you know.

Aw, shucks. Thanks!

Yep, I will second that - the round ups are ace!
