Doctor Who
- No need to lock up your daughters from the 31st March. They'll be staying in voluntarily to watch David Tennant in the new series of Doctor Who...
Film
- There's a video game based on The Golden Compass coming out this year.
- Another film that didn't need one gets a remake. This time it's Cronenberg's Scanners.
Theatre
- Jimmy McGovern's written his first play
British TV
- The Beeb has got clearance from the BBC Trust to launch a satellite equivalent to Freeview.
- A new series of Foyle's War has started filming
US TV
- The Black Donellys' ratings weren't very good. Begorra.
- Freddie Prinze Jr has another show. Wisely, his name isn't in the title.
- Lucy Liu's coming back to tele for Cashmere Mafia
- Las Vegas will be back for a fifth season, but without James Caan or Nikki Cox
- Jack McBrayer (Kenneth the page in 30 Rock) only gets recognised by pages.
- Lots of spoilers over on Ausiello as usual. Most notable that I can talk about here are Goran Visnjic not renewing his ER contract, a new female character is coming to Lost, and one of Close to Home, The Unit and Jericho is to get cancelled. Also, interesting stuff about Heroes, House and 24.

Out there, at this very moment, some arsehole will still be claiming Who starts on Easter Saturday.
BTW, the Black Sheep website is now active.

As much as I love Patrick McGoohan, 'Scanners' could use a re-do.
The lead actor was horrible - except for the only reason Cronenberg hired him (his eyes).
The audience laughs now when "Dr. Ruth" is mentioned.
The brothers should have been the first to be affected by Ephemerol, yet Jennifer O'Neil looked far older than Stephen(?) Vail.
All of that was from memory - I really loved that film at one time.
The best stuff from it - McGoohan of course, Michael Ironside, the giant head sculptures, getting scanned by the fetus, and that first head go boom.
Oh yeah, and Vail's eyes. They were intense.

No. Shouldn't be remade, no matter what. Will they bother with that lovely Canadian winter backdrop? Will they have the ambivalent ending?
It'll be like Scanners 2 and all the other sequels. Plus no McGoohan, no picture.
I always loved the fact the guy who played Vale was Stephen Lack. Lack of...?
