- The frat boys suing Sacha Baron Cohen over their depiction in Borat have lost their case.
- Tales from Earthsea won't make it to the Oscars because of Legend of Earthsea. Wow.
- Star Trek XI is right on track for a 2008 release.
British TV
- UK TV Food is to launch The Market Kitchen, a daily food magazine show hosted by Clarissa Dickson Wright, Simon Rimmer, Tom Parker-Bowles and Mrs Gordon, aka Tana Ramsay.
- Indie production house Shine has bought Kudos, Firefly and Princess (subscription required).
- ITV may sell Men & Motors to concentrate on ITV4 (subscription required).
US TV
- Michael Auriello at TV Guide says the de-gaying of Zach in Heroes was at the actor's request, not NBC's.
- Help Me Help You has been cancelled.
- Saved has been cancelled, but new pilots starring Holly Hunter and Treat Williams are on their way.
- Despite my not liking it very much, My Boys is doing well in the ratings. For some reason, so is the execrable 10 Items or Less. Those TBS viewers must be starved for… something.
- Ratings are still bad for Big Day, as are Medium's.

Am bothered by the delay to SG's Earthsea project but if it means we get a good quality dubbed version... I can live with that (I don't mind subtitles but the only problem with some films is where the white subtitles text becomes invisible against the background: mind, I would still prefer to struggle reading the subtitles for Akira than the GOD-AWFUL dubbed version which sucks on a major league scale).
