Duck!

Apparently, we're not positive enough for the MSN Torchwood group. Now mean bullies are throwing stones at us! Okay, mostly at me, thanks to my fifth-episode verdict, but also at a few of the assembled “moaners”, as well as at anyone who dislikes Torchwood.

Most disheartening comment, on so many, many levels: “And as good as David Caruso is in his own time and place, he is hardly a measure for an episode of Torchwood.” They don't like the Carusometer?!! How can this be? Sniff.

Still, there is a request for help: “Are there ANY bloggers who actually like and appreciate Torchwood for a great bit of British Science Fiction we can all enjoy?”

Can anyone point them in the right direction?

Well, no, because Torchwood isn't a great bit of British science fiction.

Rest assured you have many fans of the Carusometer.

And Stu is right. I like Torchwood, but really it can't define itself as "great" anything.

PS having read the comments, bloody hell, mean bullies or what?!

Still, I suppose you have to be prepared to take in the mode you dish out. There, there Rob even so; you deserve better than that! I don't always agree with you but I love the way you write!

You think that's bad. Try mentioning anything to do with Rupert Grint that doesn't end in fifteen exclamation marks and a declaration of undying love...

A couple of fairly positive bloggers* immediately spring to mind, but they both run Torchwood-specific blogs.

Mind you, you've given me a great idea of how to get you in trouble on LiveJournal again. Muahahaha.

It must be in [bloggers'] job description to be naturally petty, sarcastic, unimaginative, inconsequential and insignificant.

No, we're like that anyway. Blogging just makes it more obvious. :)

"Torchwood" fails in my opinion because of the sheer unbelievability of it all. I know it's sci-fi but come on people!

The acting is dire, even from the great John Barrowman.

Must they constantly spell it out for us? We get it that Jack has it for Gwen and vice-versa.

"Cyberwoman" was the last episode I watched and it's going to stay that way. Ianto was at least interesting, then they made him cry and upset and I just didn't believe him.

It's just one big Joss Whedon rip off.

I don't like TV that feels like a chore to watch it.
