Trailer for 300

Posted on September 21, 2006 | 5 comments |

The famous battle of Thermopylae between the Persians and the Spartans was retold by Frank Miller in the graphic novel The 300, which many laud as a classic. Now it's been turned into a movie, 300, the trailer for which is now available. Can't say it looks historically authentic but it does have a really unique visual style - apart from The Matrix slo-mo.

Frank Miller's stuff does seem to get better treatment from Hollywood than Alan Moore's, doesn't it?

Tis true, although let us not forget the horror that was Robocop 2.

Well, that wasn't based on a comic...

(And it was before Sin City made shedloads of cash, which I think is more to the point).

Wonder what Morrison or Ennis's stuff would look like, if it ever got adapted?

Depends on whether Preacher ever sees the light of day, I guess.

Is Rachel Talalay still attached to that? Let's hope it never gets made, then.
